The term ‘Botanic Medicine’ covers the use of a wide range of plant-derived products. It covers the use of the plants we comonly refer to as ‘herbs’ and to many other plants as well. The active ingredients can be extratced from trees, fruits or a variety of flowers as well as herbs.

Many modern medicines were first derived friom plants, digitalin derived from floxgloves is a well known example.

Many of the nutritional supplements in comon use contain not only vitamins and minerals but a variety of plant-derived or herbal products as well. They can all work towards restoring the body to optimal health.
